6 pears, sliced in half, stems retained *the less ripe the better!

½ pkg baby kale
1 shallot, minced
1 cup crumbled bleu cheese *optional! Leave off if vegan
1 bottle balsamic syrup
2 tsp high quality olive oil
1 cup pecans, toasted
