One of my favorites to make! The wilted garlicky greens really work nicely with the crunchy pecans to balance both flavors and textures. You will make this once then return to it again and again.
2 cups pecans
⅓ cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp bourbon (or more oil if omitting bourbon)
1 tsp salt
8 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
1 pinch red pepper flakes
4 Tbsp olive oil
2 pkg kale, pre-chopped or 2 bunches organic green kale S
3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp soy sauce
For the Pecans
Preheat the oven to 375 F. In a bowl, toss pecans in sugar, oil, bourbon and salt until evenly coated.
Place on a foil-lined baking sheet and toast for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow to cool. If they are not candied enough once cool, return them to the oven for 5-10 minutes more.
