Summer Cooking Camp info is in the works!
This pandemic has certainly been interesting when it comes to summer camp planning! Vie has made the decision to hold summer cooking camp in a virtual capacity for 2021, with the potential of becoming in-person as long as it is safe to do so. As a mom, Lynsie understands our worries and the importance of keeping ourselves, our families, and our communities safe.
Our camp schedule is being developed and will be open for registration soon!
During camp all students will receive recipes and lesson plans ahead of time so that they can be prepared to participate at home.
Students who register will receive digital copies of both our Vie is for Kids eBook as well as our Kitchen Safety eBook designed to help teach children about cross-contamination prevention and cooking hygiene.
This camp will be a great way to help instill these important lessons in your children as they move forward through the summer and into the fall.
Q: Where is Camp held?
A: Due to the ongoing pandemic, camp will be held virtually via Zoom. We have seen fantastic results so far with this approach! Stay tuned with updated information about in-person camps. We’d love to offer these if it is safe to do so!
Q: What ages do I take for camp?
A: Anyone from ages 4-16 is welcome at camp.
Q: How are ages mixed together?
A: We work based on our assessment of skill level upon receipt of the camper questionnaires that will be sent out after registration. We then work with each child as needed during camp, observing their technique and answering any questions that come up.
Q: How do we help our campers in their continued learning?
A. We record each Zoom session and share it after each day’s session so our campers can refer to these teaching videos long after camp is over!
